A Community School Governor is a dedicated individual who serves on the governing board of a school. Here are the different types of community school governors you might encounter:

• These volunteers don’t need a direct connection to the school, religion, or local authority.

• They contribute skills and experience to enhance effective governance and the school’s success.

• Often come from the local community, understanding its needs well.

• Play a role in areas like finance in maintained schools.
