School Uniform Policy
Please see below for our school uniform list. There is no need to purchase every item from the list, but feel free to select those items of clothing that you feel will be most comfortable for your child. Branded uniform is not a necessity and many items are available in larger supermarket chains. Children should be dressed in our school colours, which are burgundy and white with darker coloured trousers.
Our branded school uniform is available to purchase from Barnum’s School Wear. You can purchase it online at www.barnumsschoolwear.co.uk or visit their shop: 12-16 William Street, Herne Bay, CT6 5EJ or call them on 01227 365 220.
We also have lots of donated and second-hand uniforms that are available free of charge. Please just ask a member of the Early Years' team or in the school office if you would like to have a look.

PLEASE ENSURE ALL OF YOUR CHILD’S CLOTHES ARE CLEARLY LABELLED WITH THEIR NAME.
Coats
We believe that there is no inappropriate weather, only inappropriate clothing, so please ensure your child has a proper coat with them every day. EYFS have constant access to our outside area and we often find it is the most utilised area, whatever the weather, so please send you child to school with the appropriate clothing for all weathers.
Wellies
The children will need to have a pair of wellies in school. These will need to be clearly named and left above their coat pegs. They will wear them on our regular beach visits and local walks.
Earrings
Please make sure that your child does not wear earrings to school unless they can take them out by themselves. If children wear earrings to school they should only be plain studs. Please note that children wearing earrings will not be able to take part in P.E. lessons.
Suncream and Hats
During the warmer weather, we are very conscious of the need to protect young children’s skin. Please would you apply suncream to your child’s skin before leaving for school in the morning and also provide a sunhat for added protection. If the suncream needs reapplication before lunchtime, please send it in its container with your child’s name clearly marked. We are happy to support and supervise your child applying suncream and would like you to help us by teaching your child to apply it themselves.
