Cross Country

Congratulations to our Cross Country team who came first in the Key Stage 1 competition for Small Schools. The children ran approximately 500 metres across field and astro turf at Herne Bay High School. 

Wake Up Shake Up Festival

Congratulations to our Year 2 Wake Up Shake Up team who took part in a Wake Up Shake Up festival at Boughton Under Blean village hall. The children represented the school fantastically and impressed the audience with their lively Wake Up Shake Up dance. Thank you to Mrs Olson for helping the children learn the routine.

Tag Rugby Mini Festival

Our Year 2 Tag Rugby players played brilliantly in the Tag Rugby Mini Festival on Friday 1st November. The children had taken part in a Tag Rugby club after school with Roger Dengate from Whitstable Rugby Club and enjoyed putting their skills into practice in matches against children from Swalecliffe Primary School.

Basketball Festival at Herne Bay High School

8 children from Year 2 enjoyed an afternoon of Basketball at Herne Bay High on 16th November 2019, where they participated in a carousel of basketball activities and skill sessions designed to introduce them to the sport. All the children were given the opportunity to experience a game of basketball at the end. The children all had great fun and were excellent representatives of Westmeads School.
